This webinar was hosted by My CP Guide and presented by a panel including Liezl Oliver, Jessica Elsworth and Ada Castle.
Regular cancer screening is an important part of staying healthy, but for many people with cerebral palsy, knowing where to start or how to access screening can be confusing.
In this session (held on 11 Nov 2025), presenters talk through Australia’s four free national cancer screening programs: bowel, breast, cervical, and lung. You’ll learn who is eligible for each program, how to take part, what the tests involve, and what support is available if you need adjustments or assistance.
The session also covers:
• How to book a screening appointment
• What to expect before, during, and after your test
• Common barriers people with disability face and how to overcome them
• Where to go for more information or help
Please note: information about the BreastScreen program focuses on BreastScreen Victoria, as each state operates its program differently. Cervical, bowel, and lung cancer screening information applies nationally.
