This systematic review, published in the Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) journal, examines evidence on osteoarthritis, osteopenia, osteoporosis, spondylosis and fractures in adults with cerebral palsy.
The review highlights that adults with cerebral palsy may experience a range of musculoskeletal health concerns that can affect pain, mobility, function and quality of life. It also found limited evidence on monitoring and management strategies, reinforcing the need for better screening, prevention and treatment approaches across adulthood.
