This research from the Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) journal, applied the World Health Organization Healthy Ageing model to examine reported measures of intrinsic capacity in adults with cerebral palsy, including locomotion, vitality, sensory, cognitive and psychological domains.
The review found that most available evidence focuses on locomotion and vitality, with limited research on adults over 50 years of age and on sensory, cognitive and psychological aspects of ageing. The findings highlight the need for more longitudinal research to better understand how adults with cerebral palsy can be supported to age well.
