This resource from the United Cerebral Palsy website, explores life expectancy for people with cerebral palsy, and why ageing-related health challenges are becoming more prominent.

Adults with CP are at higher risk of conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and other chronic health issues, alongside functional decline in mobility and independence. Despite this, ageing in the CP population has historically been under-researched and under-recognised in healthcare planning. Recent advocacy and research efforts aim to better understand lived experiences, improve clinical awareness, and develop resources that support independence and quality of life across adulthood and older age.
