This research published in the Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) journal, examines the risk, burden, and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among people with cerebral palsy.

Though cerebral palsy is non-progressive, adults often face worsening pain, fatigue, and musculoskeletal issues. By 40, at least a quarter experience mobility decline. A cycle of reduced activity, muscle loss, and motor dysfunction may increase the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
