This research published in the Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) journal compares mortality rates for cardiovascular disease, cancer, and respiratory disease between adults with cerebral palsy and the general population. 

Survival rates for children with cerebral palsy have improved in recent decades, but the life expectancy gap between adults with cerebral palsy and the general population has widened.
